Richard Branson has just released a list of 65 books to read in a lifetime. Refreshing that they are not just business books, but a mixture of fiction, non-fiction and kids. Books are capable of teaching us much, but not just because they can be prescriptive. Empathy, respect and humility can all be learned within the pages of a brilliant novel that allows us escapism and affords us the opportunity to imagine ourselves in others' shoes. As professionals we need more encouragement (read: permission) to read for pleasure. https://lnkd.in/bpQcqyc
